Khajrana is one of the slums of Indore City having more than 200000 populations. Khajrana is one of the most challenging slum in terms of maternal and child health, sanitation, malnutrition and nutrition, poverty, prevalence of common disease. Khajrana slum was also one of the rapidly increasing slums where a set of interventions addressing maternal and child health, prevalence of common disease, sanitation and nutrition issues are required desperately. PAHAL started a community care centre in support with Volvo Employee Association to provide a holistic, affordable & sustainable solution for quality health care for all the poor and under-privileged people in Khajrana, presently medical centre covers 80-100 patients daily.
