JUGNU is a German-funded program that works against Gender discrimination, Child Marriage, and reducing the CMR and MMR in the 15 villages of Barwani District. The program is supported and funded by Terre Des Homes (TDH) and has the main focus on the development and capacity building of the youth coming in the age group 12-17 years in these villages. These youth are called Jugnus and they actively work in their community against child marriages, gender discrimination, and awareness that might help in its prevention in the future. This initiative has brought up so many youths that have changed their shy attitude and learned the art of speaking up to the community.
