A transformative international collaboration that brings global best practices of gender sensitivity to the grassroots of Madhya Pradesh through meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
The Norec Exchange is a flagship global partnership between Pahal and the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec), supported by the Norwegian Embassy.
This initiative strengthens international cooperation by connecting young leaders from India, Bangladesh, and Cambodia.
How the Exchange Works
Under this program:
- Young professionals spend one full year in a partner country.
- They also participate in two one-week training programs in another country, conducted by Norec — one before departure and one after completion.
This “Mutual Exchange” model enables participants to:
- Knowledge Transfer – Share best practices, grassroots strategies, and working methodologies from their home organization with host international NGOs.
- Cultural Immersion – Engage deeply with diverse cultures across South and Southeast Asia, building empathy and global understanding.
- Cross-Pollination of Ideas – Return with innovative approaches, global perspectives, and practical solutions to strengthen development work in Madhya Pradesh.
